21W.021 Inside MIT

Acting as participant-observers in these unprecedented times, students will investigate MIT’s history and culture through discussion with visiting speakers from throughout the Institute, virtual visits to the MIT archives and museums, relevant readings, and depictions of MIT in popular culture. Students will have an opportunity to participate in Project Endurance, an account of individuals experiences of individuals associated with MIT (students, faculty, alumni, staff) in dealing with the challenges of 2020.

Students chronicle their experiences and insights through a variety of writing projects, culminating in the completion of a portfolio. Limited to 15.
