We recently received the great news from Kimberly Benard, Associate Dean and Director of Distinguished Fellowships and Academic Excellence, that four CMS/W majors are now Phi Beta Kappa:

The Xi Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa voted to invite 101 members of the Class of 2025 to membership in the Society in recognition of their excellent academic records and commitment to the objectives of a liberal education.

The honor goes to less than 10% of their class. Included from CMS/W this year are Jyotsna Nair (Writing and Biology), Alice Le (Writing and Physics), Sabrina Hu (Humanities and Engineering with Comparative Media Studies), and Ethan Nevidomsky (Comparative Media Studies).

Benard also passes along details of the May 23rd ceremony:

The annual Phi Beta Kappa lecture and initiation ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 28 May, at 10:00 a.m. in 32-123, during MIT’s Commencement week. This year’s annual Phi Beta Kappa guest lecturer at that ceremony will be Dr. Andrea Louise Campbell, Arthur and Ruth Sloan Professor of Political Science and MacVicar Faculty Fellow
