Allison Adair and Sandra Lim: The William Corbett Poetry Series

Allison Adair’s debut collection, The Clearing, was selected by Henri Cole for Milkweed’s Max Ritvo Poetry Prize and named a New York Times “New and Noteworthy” book. Allison’s poems have appeared or are forthcoming in American Poetry Review, Arts & Letters, Best American Poetry, Cincinnati Review, Kenyon Review, Threepenny, and ZYZZYVA; and have been honored with the Pushcart Prize, the Florida Review Editors’ Award, the Orlando Prize, and first place in the Mid-American Review Fineline Competition. Originally from central Pennsylvania, Allison lives in Boston, where she teaches at Boston College.
Sandra Lim’s latest book of poetry, The Curious Thing (W.W. Norton, 2021), is a Massachusetts Book Award “must read.” Her previous collections of poetry are The Wilderness (W.W. Norton, 2014), winner of the Barnard Women Poets Prize selected by Louise Glück, and Loveliest Grotesque (Kore Press, 2006). She has received the Levis Reading Prize, an American Academy of Arts and Letters Literature Award, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. Her writing has appeared in The New Republic, The Baffler, Poetry, The New York Review of Books, Gulf Coast, and elsewhere. She is a Professor of English at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and also serves on the poetry faculty in the Warren Wilson College MFA Program for Writers. Born in Seoul, Korea, she lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
