Tentative dates for the 2024 First-year Essay Evaluation are as follows. All times are Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
You must register in advance to take the FEE. Please register as early as possible to ensure that you can access the online system. The Essay Evaluation Site will not be accessible before registration is open.

Please note – FEE Summer Session #2 will be the final opportunity to take the FEE before the start of the start of the Fall 2024 semester.

Please email fee-help@mit.edu if extenuating circumstances prevent you from participating in either offering of the FEE before the Fall 2024 semester. We strongly encourage completing the FEE during the summer, as your FEE placement affects your registration choices.
