Now open for submissions: “MIT in 3” Video Competition

Use your phone or camera to shoot a short video – no longer than three minutes – and create a short documentary, narrative or artistic video and submit it to the MIT in 3 competition. All members of the MIT community are eligible.

For all of us at MIT, life, studies, work, or leisure have many different facets. Students, staff, faculty, visiting scholars all experience this place differently. What’s your specific perspective? What’s a cool activity, project or spot that hardly anyone knows about?

What’s your MIT? And can you show it in 3 minutes?

MIT in 3 continues the tradition of The Media Spectacle, honoring the late Comparative Media Studies program administrator Chris Pomiecko, founder of the Media Spectacle, and celebrating his love for filmmaking. MIT in 3 has been inspired by Antje Ehmann’s and Harun Farocki’s world-wide video project “Labour in a Single Shot” that explored the subject of work through 1-2 minute video clips.

MIT in 3 is sponsored by the Chris Pomiecko Memorial Fund and Comparative Media Studies/Writing with support from Arts at MIT.
