Peer-review groups provide a safe and supportive environment to share work in progress and receive feedback at any stage of writing. Joining a peer review group can boost your progress by providing structure and motivation for your writing. In this small community of other writers, you’ll learn from the writing strategies of the professional facilitator and your peers, as well as improve the clarity of your work based on the feedback that you get.
Peer-Review Group for Creative Writers

Writing creatively just for yourself? Planning on submitting to the Ilona Karmel Writing Prizes?
The MIT Writing and Communication Center runs a peer-review group where you meet weekly with other creative writers in a safe space to give and receive feedback, inspiration, and encouragement. All genres are welcome. This group is facilitated by Susan Spilecki, WCC Lecturer and Writing Specialist.
NOTE: The group will be limited to 4-7 individuals.
This group continues in January by Zoom and will resume in person meetings in February.
New members are welcome! Contact Susan Spilecki at spilecki@mit.edu if you want to join this group or want to learn more.
