Deepti teaches in the Writing, Rhetoric, and Professional Communication (WRAP) program. Prior to coming to MIT, Deepti served as the Multilingual Writing Specialist and Associate Director of the Baruch College Writing Center at the City University of New York (CUNY) where she provided pedagogical leadership to a staff of professional writing consultants. She is excited to transfer her experience in writing centers to support instruction in writing and speaking across the disciplines at MIT. Deepti received her Master of Arts in Foreign Language Education and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from New York University and her Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College. She also has experience creating items and test content for large scale ELL assessments. Her interests lie at the intersection of writing center studies, composition, and language learning, and she specializes in working with ESL/multilingual writers.
