Eva Garcia-Lopez

Eva Garcia-Lopez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Alcala (Spain). She is a member of the "Information Technologies for Education and Knowledge" and "Intelligent Mobile Platforms" research groups. Her research interests include artificial intelligence, natural language processing, educational technology and user experience. She has published more than 100 conference papers and articles in high-impact journals, including 24 papers published in ISI JCR-indexed journals, 24 papers in CORE-ranked conferences, and two intellectual property records. She has participated in 26 publicly funded research projects (in four as a principal investigator), including eight funded by the European Commission; and more than 40 contracts with companies and private institutions, being the principal investigator in three of them. During her Ph.D. studies, she spent a total of twelve months at several universities abroad, in Lund (Sweden), Oxford (United Kingdom) and Helsinki (Finland), and she performed two postdoctoral stays (in Helsinki and Lisbon), for a total of twelve months. During her predoctoral training stage, she was awarded three different doctoral fellowships (one of them funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education) and two postdoctoral fellowships (one funded by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain). She has supervised one Ph.D. thesis and is currently supervising 6 Ph.D. students.
