Rachel Ellis Adams is a teacher, filmmaker and writer. Her interests in critical pedagogy, communication, and social justice have led her into various types of classroom and creative project. Her most recent experience before joining CMS/W was designing and facilitating a screenwriting course for incarcerated teenagers awaiting trial at Rikers Island. Currently, she is developing a website where filmmakers and academics can trade perspectives, build connections, and offer each other support in their work for the public good. She has an M.A. in Media Studies and an M.F.A. in Film.
