Revista Angle interviews Professor Edward Schiappa on the Parasocial Contact Hypothesis

Schiappa lectured recently at the University of Barcelona, where student journalists had an opportunity to ask him about the Parasocial Contact Hypothesis. The theory demonstrated that mediated relationships with real and fictional characters can reduce prejudice, much the same way in-person relationships can.
