Writing Together In-person Retreat This Week

If you need extra time to work on your writing projects this week, join the WCC team during an in-person Writing Together session. This session will help you make progress and work productively in the company of other scholars. We will provide lunch and drinks, as well as the right productive ambiance.

Embark on a magical journey of writing with the Writing Together Online (WTO) program this spring! Our 90-minute writing sessions, complete with goal-setting and accountability exercises, ignite the mystical forces of inspiration through peer-support and community, empowering participants to harness their inner writing wizards. This program is open to all MIT students, postdocs, faculty, and staff writing papers, proposals, thesis/dissertation chapters, application materials, and other writing projects.

The Spring 2024 writing marathon will consist of two challenges.

Challenge 1: Monday, February 12th through Friday, March 22nd
Spring Break: March 25-29
Challenge 2: Monday, April 1st through Friday, May 17th 

Please register for any sessions:

Mondays 8–9:30am
Tuesdays 8–9:30am and 9:30–11am
Wednesdays 8–9:30am
Thursdays 8–9:30am and 9:30–11am
Fridays 8–9:30am and 9:30–11am

Win the raffle:

Students and postdocs who attend at least 5 sessions during Challenge 1 and 2 sessions will be entered into a gift-card raffle taking place on Friday, March 22nd and Friday May 17th, at 11am. The more you participate, the more times you will be entered into the raffle of prizes.

To participate in this program:

1. Register through this form, and we will send you the Zoom links to connect.
2. Set up your laptop, books, articles, water, and snacks.
3. Connect through the link 5 minutes before the event.

What to expect during this event:

1. We will start with short announcements about this program
2. We will proceed with a goal-setting exercise
3. About 5 minutes before the end of the program, we will gather in the main room to share our progress.
