If you're interested in sending a note or card of thanks to the
NYC firefighters, the address is:
Uniformed Firefighters Association
204 East 23rd Street
New York, New York 10010
Volunteers from the General Theological Seminary in New York City
have been working alongside firefighters, dispensing food, water,
counseling, etc. to the firefighters since last week. They report
that those working at Ground Zero are getting increasingly desperate
and that very deep despair is beginning to take its toll. We understand
that during off hours, many workers are reading letters coming in
from all over the world to keep their spirits going.
