An exhibition of works by multimedia artist Wolfgang Staehle recently
opened at the Postmasters Gallery in New York City. 2001
features a piece consisting of a live webcast of monumental sites
in three major cities, including a view of the downtown Manhattan
skyline. The artist's originally stated purpose was to create an
antidote of a reflective slowdown of beautiful images, close
and far away, static and changing at the same time. Regretfully
his composition will be forever changed in a way he never could
have foreseen.
